How Real Estate Bird Dogs can Locate Private Lenders, Lesson 22

The above is an okay video on one tactic for finding private money lenders to fund your Real Estate Bird Dog transactions. Unfortunately, the guys website is not online anymore so I couldn’t find out more on his strategy.

Having money lined up to finance your real estate investment deals is crucial to successful real estate investing.  It’s not quite so important if you are doing the basic Real Estate Property Locating, but if you are rehabbing or wholesaling it is important to have money available.

One way, as mentioned in the above video is for people to use Self Directed IRA money for real estate investments. This can be a good strategy for investors because the yields are tax free or tax deferred, depending on whether it is a traditional or Roth IRA.

Other potential sources of money are of course networking at your local real estate investor association meetings, looking for money to lend ads in the papers and online, and places maybe even peer to peer lenders like prosper.com.

The biggest thing is …. Ask around and tell people what you are doing!
