Building a Real Estate Bird Dog Team – Training Lesson 16
“No person will make a great business who wants to do it all himself or get all the credit.” – Andrew Carnegie
There Are Only 24 Hours in a Day – even for real estate bird dogs.
If you have ever gone into business for yourself, perhaps you did so because you were tired of depending on other people to get things done. The more successful you become, however, the more you’ll realize that you just can’t do it all by yourself. It’s a great problem to have, because it doesn’t come up unless you’re getting somewhere.
That nice problem of being too busy can quickly become a nightmare though, if you don’t have your team lined up in advance. In most transactions someone is in a hurry to close, and if you don’t have your team ready you end up in a mad scramble for someone who can step in on short notice. Perhaps that someone doesn’t work out so well. In a worst-case scenario, you could even lose the deal.
Have your team in place before you ever need it. Then, once a transaction is underway, it’s just a matter of placing a phone call.
